This complete edition is everything you wanted from the first release. Songs like “Hammerhead” which was criminally missing from the initial LP release is here, along with the Deluxe Edition songs, “Laughing Boy” being the stand out. Also included is a smashing cover of Bowie’s “Five Years” which gives more impact to the gorgeous finisher, “Falling”, featuring Bowie’s pianist Mike Garson. The included Past and Future booklets are similarly gorgeous, beautiful and nostalgic-yet-fresh offerings from this band we love so much. The vinyl sounds great. If you purchased the recent Medazzaland release and were worried this one might suffer some of the sonic mud that plagued that release you’ll be extremely pleased with the sound here. Personally I have about 5 variants of the single LP offering but will most likely play this 2 LP Complete Edition most often. The other variants are for collecting… this one is for playing. Brilliant album in a brilliant package, presented in its full glory, as it should be. It’s like the band heeded their own words, “I want everything, all of what you do.” May there be Nothing Less. Cheers and thanks, DD!
